What is a Community Governor? Your governor appoints a government of his or her peers to plan fun events for the community, purchase new items for the community office, and advocates for residential needs to the University and outside organizations.

Meet the Candidates!

Whitney Kinyaevskaya
Goals for the Year:
-Give the Upper Quad community more accessible recycling centers
-Ensure each floor has a microwave and water bottle friendly fountain
-Create more opportunities to make friends within Upper Quad
Leadership Experience:
-Minority Leader in Model Congress
-Student body president in high school
-Varsity volleyball captain in high school

Rose Vigil
Goals for the Year:
Creating a safe and welcoming community for all residents
Bringing educational as well as fun programs to the community, like free tutoring in the community during finals and outdoor movies in Upper Quad
Putting a focus on sustainability and environmental awareness
Leadership Experience:
Former Lt. Governor of Hinton James Community in 2016-17
Vice Chair of RHA’s Programming Board in 2017-18

Boris Mesits
Goals for the Year:
– to generate fun
– to form a diverse, qualified, passionate Community Government team
– to represent and give equal attention to Old East, Old West, Ruffin, Grimes, Mangum, and Manly
Leadership Experience:
– Sustainability Officer of OCLQ Community Government
