Why does RHA advocate for residents?

• Direct connection with Department of Housing and Residential Education (DHRE) administration.
• Deep understanding of Housing policy.
• Elected leaders of on-campus residents.
• Proximity to the students.

How do we advocate?

• Figure out what residents need, not just what they want.
• Make sure residents know what RHA does and how to use their services to their benefit.
• Seek out opportunities to meet with administrators and other student leaders.

• DHRE
• The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Administration
• Student Government, including Student Congress and Student Government Committees
• Carolina Dining Services (CDS)
• Department of Public Safety (DPS)
• Other Student Organizations
